Position Summary: 
The Scrum Master will work with several areas as needed to guide/drive successful completion of software development, deployment integration, and process improvement solutions for all areas of the company. The position requires the Scrum Master to communicate and pull together teams from all levels of the organization, third parties as needed, and be well versed or willing to learn both traditional Waterfall and Agile methodology.  This individual will apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help maximize the company’s investments.  All other duties as assigned.

  1. Manage projects of varying levels of scope and complexity, multiple and competing demands, and multiple risks
  2. Effectively provides leadership within the matrix organization using excellent partnership skills, drawing on the skills of the larger IT organization to ensure project success
  3. Work with multiple teams and choose appropriate methodology and approach for each project's success
  4. Ensures documentation of best practices, adherence to processes and facilitates lessons learned/retrospectives
  5. Mentors new project managers and business analysts to continue to grow these competencies
  6. Develop and manage timelines/budgets both as baselines, forecasts and actual

  1. Understands downstream process, impacts of issues, changes and resolutions across multiple business areas

  4. Is able to clearly frame a problem, identify and collect the necessary data, and make recommendations for solving the problem

Qualifications
  • Minimum Qualifications
  1. Microsoft Office tools (MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and Visio
  2. ERP software experience (Order Processing, Sales Quotes, Inventory Management, Purchase Orders, Accounts Receivable, Credit Management, etc)
  3. Ability to work within an agile software development methodology
  4. Understand the concept of user story creation and possesses the ability to create user stories with necessary acceptance criteria
  5. Backlog management with the ability to deliver value to the business
  6. Working knowledge project management principles and processes
  7. Build and maintain long-term working relationship with all areas/levels of the organization.
  8. Ability to work multiple projects simultaneously.
  9. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, developers and subject matter experts.
  10. Liaison between various business units, technology teams, support teams and end users.
  11. Include all relevant parties in the problem solving or decision-making process.
 
  • Desired Qualifications
  1. BA/BS in IT, IS, or Mathematics; or equivalent experience
  2. Excellent communication skills
  3. Excellent negotiation skills
  4. Willingness to learn new tool sets, applications and processes
  5. Ability to work in a dynamic environment
  6. Ability to handle multiple projects/tasks
  7. PMP is preferred
  8. Knowledge of wholesale distribution industry
 
Physical Demands
The physical demands here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations:
  1. Sitting for extended periods of time
  2. Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, power tools, and other computer components
  3. Ability to lift up to 20 lbs
  4. Occasional travel to interact with local companies and/or support implementation of solutions
